Mike welcomes you to the Bell Inn at Cromford
Pints have been pulled at this friendly, traditional Derbyshire pub for over 230 years, since it was built by Richard Arkwright at the end of the 18th Century. You'll find that a congenial atmosphere, welcoming hosts and well kept ales are the hallmarks of this long-established and popular Inn but look out also for our special prices on football evenings when there is added entertainment from Sky Sports and Setanta in the main bar. The lounge bar is our quiet room used by hikers and tourists to have a quiet chat and sample some of the delicious homemade food that I offer-the only things here that are frozen are the prices, the recent budget increase is not in effect at my pub and I am holding the prices until January 09.I have the best Real Ales in the area so forget the Greyhound.
I can also offer you a historic tour of Cromford including lunch at The Bell for £11s.The infamous Sir Richard Arkwright "aka" Martin Gilles, shown in the photos will give you a guided tour and history of the village (don't let him lock you in the jail cell) and then head back to The Bell for a delicious hot and cold buffet lunch. For an extra £5 donation I can also organize a trip around the local mine which the Goodluck Miners are trying to preserve. Please stop in and say 'Hello'. We aim to be the biggest little pub in the Matlock area.
As of January 2008 we are looking to add a mens darts team to compete in local leagues so please call Mike on 01629-822102 if interested in playing for us.As featured in
